HR Director Dinner: Modern Slavery

Time: to

London EC2V

Modern slavery is a global problem, which is thought to occur in almost every country of the world.

In the UK, modern slavery is hidden in plain sight but, as awareness grows, more and more victims are identified, with a total of 23,000 potential victims formally identified since 2013.

Since the Modern Slavery Act was introduced in 2015, UK businesses with a turnover of at least £36m have a legal requirement to publish an annual modern slavery statement detailing how they are seeking to eradicate modern slavery from their supply chain. Attention is now turning to the quality of these statements and the action being taken. To explore this, Eversheds Sutherland is hosting a leadership dinner for Human Resources directors.

The event will provide an opportunity to learn more about modern slavery, hear from Eversheds about how to write a quality modern-slavery statement, and explore opportunities for companies to go beyond compliance.

A three-course dinner will be provided.
