Workshop: Gender Pay Gap Insights - How leading businesses are tackling the pay gap

Time: to

Birmingham B3

At this workshop the Government Equalities Office and Business in the Community will share best practice to support employers in developing robust action plans to reduce the gender pay gap.

PlThe UK is leading the world on gender pay gap reporting with over 10,000 businesses publishing their figures this year. This means that every large organisation across the country has calculated the difference between what they pay men and women, with many having Board room conversations about the causes of existing inequalities.
This shows an unprecedented level of transparency and commitment to tackling the issue of gender inequality in the workplace, but reporting is only the first step. Government is now urging business to develop and publish robust action plans that will reduce the gender pay gap.  Many organisations are already leading the way in this, publishing their policies and initiatives and providing examples of best practice from which to learn.  Register now for this event to hear leading businesses share how they are taking action to improve gender balance in the workplace and the positive impact this can help reduce the gender pay gap.
The purpose of the workshop is for delegates to:
  • Understand how other businesses have tried to tackle their gender pay gap
Who should attend?
  • HR managers/Heads of who are responsible for publishing and mitigating their organisation’s gender pay gap.
  • Brand/PR/Marketing Managers/Heads of who are responsible for communicating their organisation’s gender pay gap.
This workshop will be of most benefit to participants who want to know how to tackle their own gender pay gap.
